What are the future of E-government in Malaysia?

On this poll, I have asked about the future of E-government, people still have doubt about e-government. There are a same number of vote on 2 of the answer which this is the first time this kind of result apear. Both of the answer are totally opposite of each other and this show that people are still not fully understand about e-government.

Technology on E-government include both online services and usage in government offices.

Most of the people do know that e-government is something the include both online services and the usage of its technology in government office or document arrangement. However, all these function of e-government was no totally utilize by the government of Malaysia.

Do you think which country have the best e-government service?

From the poll question, i know that the point of view of people towards a government. People think that the e-government in Canada is the best, but I do not know the truth because I never experience the e-government at Canada before.

Do you think e-government will face challenges in gaining the public trust?

From the chart we know that e-government is still an unknown for the public. But as for those who knows about e-government have also no confident for the government technology. They do not think that e-government can be reliable enough for them. However, these challenges can be solve as long as the government put some effort into improving the government technology.

What service should E-Government provide?

People who knows about e-government are mostly the younger one. Therefore, the services that people most likely want to have it voting and voter registration. This is because with the registration online, people do not have to rush to a place to register in order to have the right on Malaysia which is voting. On the other hand, Renewing driving license is also one of the high demand services with people want. Usually, if we want to renew our driving license, we have to wait for a long time in order to do that. But if the services is online, it wont save a lot time for both the citizen and government.

Do people know about E-government?

From the chart, we know that e-government is something that people already know but no body cares and ask about it. Besides, e-government is something that not widely use in Malaysia. Therefore, it's not a surprise that people don't really understand about it. Don't you think so?
